MAROTTA

About

The design is based on a Mass Deconstructed architectural approach, where volumes
push forward and recede through unconventional angled cuts, giving the building a sense
of movement and lightness—almost as if it is constantly in motion.
Design Features
Angled Lines & Alternating Volumes: The defining characteristic of the project. Tilted
projections and recesses create wide terraces and upper-level balconies, integrating
greenery as part of the architecture to enhance spatial quality and visual richness.
Material Palette
White/Gray Solid Masses: Establish the bold structural identity and highlight the
unconventional angled geometry.
Dark Reflective Glass: Ensures the required transparency while reflecting the
surroundings, further enhancing the building’s perceived lightness.
Outcome: An iconic tower that stands as a sculptural landmark in the city skyline,
combining residential/administrative function with an innovative architectural
expression.

EXECUTIVE PLANS

Organic Dynamic Architecture
Objective: Designing a residential tower that offers panoramic views
and generous outdoor spaces for each unit, using a design language
inspired by natural curves to distinguish it as an iconic landmark.
Concept & Composition:
Concept: The Principle of Layering and Curves. The façade is formed
by successive layers of curved balconies wrapping around the building
mass. These curves create a sense of vertical motion and fluidity.
Composition: The tower features an ascending curvature in its
overall structure, gradually tapering upward, giving it a slender, elegant,
and distinctive form.
Materials & Key Features:
Balconies as a Primary Element: The balconies are designed as
horizontal wavy fins, serving not only as an aesthetic feature but also
providing natural self-shading for the lower units and protection from
wind.
Color Palette & Materials:
-Dark Tone (Gray / Anthracite): Used in the background or main building
mass to convey depth and solidity.
-Light Railings & Surfaces: Highlight the white/light curves of the
balconies, creating lively contrast.
-Reflective Glass: Ensures maximum interior visibility while visually
reducing the perceived mass of the structure.
Organic Touch: Integrated vegetation and vertical greenery along
balcony edges reinforce the connection to nature and enhance the
sustainable architectural concept.
Result: An iconic residential tower with a distinctive sculptural design,
offering spacious and protected outdoor areas and expressing a refined
architectural style centered on visual comfort and dynamic geometry.

EXECUTIVE PLANS

GLORY TOWER

Dynamic Abstract Architecture
Objective: Designing a residential tower that offers distinctive units
with external balconies, focusing on highlighting unconventional vertical
movement. The goal is to create an iconic architectural sculpture within
the city skyline.
Concept & Composition:
Concept: Interlacing and Twisting. The design is based on the
principle of the Spiral/Helical Form, achieved through the repetition of
opposing and tilted residential units.
Main Composition: The building features two inclined vertical glass
ribbons that intersect with the horizontal balcony structure. This interplay
between the inclined transparent ribbons (potentially for corridors or
panoramic elevators) and the solid horizontal masses creates a visually
complex and distinctive formation.
Materials & Key Features:
Repetitive Balcony Units: The balconies serve as the primary
compositional element. These units alternate between protrusion and
recession, adopting skewed angles that add significant depth and
dynamic shadow play to the façade.
Color Palette: A blend of strong neutral tones:
-White / Light Gray: For the horizontal solid masses, giving a sense of
order.
-Dark Gray / Black: For the main structural frame, emphasizing the
inclined ribbons and enhancing the shadow contrast.
ntegrated Greenery: Smartly incorporated greenery along the
balcony edges introduces an organic and lively touch that softens the
rigid geometric character.
Result: A residential/mixed-use tower that embodies bold design,
presenting a sculptural façade whose appearance shifts with changes in
viewing angle and lighting.

H-16 TOWER

Contemporary Architecture with an Alternating
Mosaic Pattern
Objective: Designing a mixed-use building (commercial on the
ground floor, residential above) with a visually unique and appealing
façade. The focus is on achieving diversity in natural lighting and
privacy through varying window opening sizes.
Concept & Composition:
Concept: Grid Alternating. The design moves away from the
traditional regular window grid, relying instead on a controlled
random variation of square and rectangular window dimensions and
shapes. This composition gives the building a modern, artistic, and
dynamic appearance.
Façade Structure:
Solid Mass: The main framing element of the façade uses a light
color (beige/white), serving to unify and outline the openings.
Central Vertical Openings:
A prominent vertical glass strip is placed at the center (possibly for
elevators or corridors), visually dividing the façade and adding height
along with a strong focal point.
